Summary: No Service Providers
Description:
I just downloaded and installed the new ISO on a test machine. However
during the setup screen the Service Provider list is empty. After
finishing the install routine, I logged into the Asterisk admin screen and
clicked on Service Providers and the words 'Loading Screen' just kept
displaying over and over again with no results.

Oh, and the other reason why I think this is a bug is because the ISO
that's on the AsteriskNOW website has NO service providors. Without
Service Providor installed, you can't do the initial setup of the system.

I've put together a step by step outline as I understand it. Please
review the steps below and let me know if I'm missing something please.
But for now, I will perform these steps to see what happens.

1. Press Alt-F2
2. Log in using ADMIN and your password
3. Now type in the following and press ENTER:
sudo su -
4. Now enter in your main ADMIN password and press ENTER.
5. If you logged in properly, you should see the following prompt:
[root at asterisk ~]#
6. Now enter in the following commands in the console screen:

svn co http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk-gui/branches/asterisknow
ast-gui
cd ast-gui
sh configure && make && make samples && make install && make checkconfig

7. You should see a bunch of text going by the screen, followed by a big
ASTERISK logo, then more text. If all goes well, you should be back at the
command prompt with no errors reported.
8. Now type in LOGOUT and press ENTER, then LOGOUT and press ENTER again.
This will log out off the console completely.
9. Press ALT-F1.
10. Select Reboot so the Asterisk machine can reboot and run the new
software.

I did the above steps on my test machine. After it rebooted I then logged
into the web GUI interface on my Windows XP machine using IE 7.0, clicked
on SERVICE PROVIDERS and it still shows 'Loading Screen....' with nothing
comming up.

Therefore I have some questions that might help you figure this out:
1. Is there a command you would like me to do to verify that the
providers did indeed get installed? Maybe the issue is with the GUI
interface and IE7

2. Where in either the GUI interface or the console can I get the
currently installed version? As a suggestion you should display the
currently installed version on the main AsteriskNOW Console menu that is
displayed on the Lunix box.

3. What is the command to delete the directory ast-gui?

Hope this helps.
