Summary:                    IMAP integration with MS Exchange crashes
Asterisk-1.4.10.1
Description: 
When setting voicemail.conf to MS Exchange IMAP server I am able to record
a message and it will send to the users Exchange Inbox but when MS Exchange
sends an IMAP response to Asterisk it does not know the tagged response for
SEARCH and NOOP. After this Warning:

Asterisk crashes and needs to be Ctrl-C to exit and restarted.

When I was exploring my options, I found several ways that I could only
transmit MWI when someone left a new message. That was easy enough. The
tricky part with IMAP is that people generally use an e-mail client to
check their messages as opposed to using the phone. Because of that,
Asterisk has no means of knowing that the state of messages has changed
except by searching the mailbox and checking the flags of the messages.
It's this precise behavior which is causing the slowdown and potentially
the crashes with MWI enabled.
