[asterisk-bugs] ChanIsAvail always returns 0

Asterisk version 1.2.24

This happens always.

 

 

After calling ChanIsAvail, ${AVAILSTATUS} always returns 0 whether the
device is offhook or not.  

 

Here's a snip from my dialplan that shows how I call it:

 

exten => s,n,ChanIsAvail(SIP/9999999999)

exten => s,n,Noop(${AVAILSTATUS})

 

Is this a known bug?
