Summary: Dialing out with multiple extensions registered to
Cisco 7960
Description:
I have a Cisco 7960 with 6 lines. I want to regsiter 1 extension (6001) to
lines 1 thru 5 and 1 extension (6050) to line 6.
The phone accepts incoming calls correctly on the proper lines, but when
trying to place outgoing calls on lines 1-5 (Ext 6001) I get the following
messages in the sip debug output.
<------------->
--- (19 headers 13 lines) ---

I found a similar situation at this post:
http://forums.digium.com/viewtopic.php?=&p=43656
and I then added this line to my sip.conf file
insecure=port,invite
Once I did that, I am able to make outbound calls on the lines registered
to extension 6001, but when placed they use the extension 6050 settings
(like the caller ID displayed).
I need to make outband calls as 6001 (on lines 1-5) and outbound calls as
6050 (on line 6) and have the lines behave independently of one another.
It looks now like the "insecure=port,invite" just fools the PBX into
letting me make a call as if I was extension 6050 from extension 6001.
Please help. I am hoping this is just a setting on the PBX, but maybe a
bug. Thank you!
