[Asterisk-bugs] CDR bug for 3way calls: fixed in 1.4?

I'm seeing a bug in the CDRs recorded for three-party (and in one case
four-party) conference calls, and I'm wondering if it's been fixed yet.
Specifically, extension E calls external number X1, puts it on hold,
calls external number X2, and then bridges the calls. The resulting
CDRs show two calls from X1 to X2, rather than a call from E to X1 and
a call from E to X2.
Furthermore, in one case E1 called X1, then E2; then E2 called X2, and,
ultimately, it appears all four parties were bridged together. The
resulting CDRs showed three calls from X1 to X2, rather than E1->X1,
E1->E2, and E2->X2.
But this is with 1.2.5. Has this been fixed in a more recent Asterisk?
If so, any thoughts on what would be the least painful upgrade to get
the fix?
This is on a moderately busy production system, so I'd much rather not
do an experimental upgrade "just to see". (Ideally, there'd be a
scratch monkey to do such testing on. We had a scratch machine, but it
has been pressed into production use, as I'm sure many of you know
happens far more often than it ideally should....)
