Summary: SIP channel stops processing calls, but no apparent
deadlock
Description:
Approximately once per week we are seeing asterisk stop processing SIP
calls. The behavior is the same as a deadlock, but core show locks does not
show any evidence that there is a deadlock.

The only way to resolve is to restart asterisk.

output of:
core show locks
info thread
thread apply all bt

from the running process is attached.

One more thing that should be posted here:

On the same customer I have a "gateway asterisk" doing all the transcoding
processes that came from the PSTN(PRI and R2).

All calls are then forward to the server with Asterisk 1.4.15 as SIP
channels.

On the gateway server I dont have this problem(same traffic), so this let
me think that the problem is not related to a high traffic situation, but a
mix of situations, like channel transfers, SIP subscribes, queues.

Im using a IBMx3400(2 Xeon) on the 1.4.15 and a IBMx3200(1 Xeon) on the
gateway.
