</div>If you are using FreeBSD, or any *BSD the procedure is very simple.<br>
You don't even need actual telephony hardware because you can work<br>
directly with SIP and IAX2. Look in the ports tree and you will find<br>
Asterisk, just make install clean and your done. If you intend to use<br>
IAX2 I'm pretty sure you will need DAHDI (a.k.a. Zaptel) which if I<br>
remember correctly is in a separate FBSD port.<br>
