[Asterisk-bsd] Asterisk + BSD + Embedded

At the risk of sounding snobby, I'd just build your embedded system with FreeBSD. The complete * package and zaptel works on FreeBSD. Unless you have some special need for NetBSD or OpenBSD then  why reinvent the wheel.Incidently, I've been trying to get a diskless server to run * for quite a while. I have the diskless thing down pat, but I'm not really sure how to go about setting up the rw partitions needed and then how do I install * or any port for that matter once I have the diskless machine up. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have also tried for openWRT to install Zaptel but not success after lots
of attempted anyway. I am trying my best to achieve it but tell me guy which
one would be best for embedded linux FreeBSD or NetBSD I want your
experience comment on it.

There is a zaptel port for netbsd, but it's frightfully old. I'm
giving up on Asterisk and going to give callweaver a try. Sure, it
might lack some features, but they went with a portable timing source
and that makes me happy.
