You should not be using sisX with that board. Support for the via card
mentioned in one of your other replies is built into the generic-pc
image but perhaps something is wrong. After selecting option 1, what
appears under "valid interfaces are:"?

Are you entering this as "24"? It is expecting the netmask to be given
in CIDR form.
