Its free of charge but you get to help someone else next time :)

Next you need to make sure your ports are up to date because some
ports are required to compile asterisk.

Do you have the ports tree installed ?

If not, install cvsup-without-gui from the package.

If you have the ports tree, build and install cvsup-without-gui from the port.

Lets see how this goes..
