[Asterisk-bsd] Looking for a command line db1 utility capable of
inserting/deleting db1 key/value pairs

First of all, I would like to congratulate the leaders of the
asterisk-bsd group
for the great work that has been done in porting asterisk into FreeBSD.
When I checked this group out, about a year ago, I realized ( based on
some of the
comments at the time ) that libpri, zaptel, (and the other major
components of Asterisk) ,
needed more work in order to match the quality that FreeBSD delivers as
an opera
ting system.
I'm truly amazed!
Hats off to everyone who contributed to this effort.
In an effort to support the FreeBSD community, I just odered the CD set
of 6.1
from BSDMall and really looking forward to installing Asterisk on it.
Now, on the question. I'm working a simple "PC-to-Phone" application using
Asterisk as the TDM gateway and SER as the SIP gateway.
So, calls will hit the SER server first, then be routed to Asterisk for
TDM/PSTN
access. Since the SER server already uses mysql, and I don't have any
needs to install
mysql on the asterisk server. ( based on what I'm read on the wiki, the
mysql client on asterisk can only connect to localhost ).
Based on the design logic, I will have the need to modify the built-in
Asterisk
db1 astdb file to either insert or delete key pairs.
Can anyone points me to any tools that would read the db1 (version 1.85
) format
on Asterisk?
I did notice the dbtool-1.6 1 in the port list,
(http://www.freebsd.org/ports/databases.html ) but not sure if it would
read the old format of db1 ( version 1.85 to be explicit )
Can anyone confirm this or provide any pointers to this issue?
Thanks
Pat
