I don't know it just worked for me after i used the i386 version. YOu

Subject: [Asterisk-bsd] Re: Which g729 driver?

I think I am using the latest drivers downloaded them again today from
the
digium website. I have tried i386, i686 and Pentium 4 with no luck.

http://www.digium.com/index.php?menu=asterisk_g729

specifically

http://www.digium.com/downloads/ftp/asterisk/g729/unsupported/freebsd-5.2.1/i386/codec_g729a.so

After downloading the new drivers and re-registering them with digium
using
the register program. I restart asterisk with no luck. The only error
I get
is in the /var/log/asterisk/messages file.

Mar 23 14:38:50 WARNING[36502]: Failed to initialize G.729 copy
protection!

Any one have any ideas?

Thanks for the help
