[Asterisk-bsd] Step by Step for install/compile Asterisk

Hi,
This is my first question.
I'm new in Asterisk. I use FreeBSD 5.3 and I'd like know if somebody knows a 
tutorial to
compile and to install Asterisk?

I'd like not to use the ports (I have errors).
