You will continue to have all sorts of problems if you continue to ignore
the advice here on the asterisk-bsd list regarding the use of ports.

Until very recently the version of zaptel in the ports is not the best there is,
and so you must compile the code available via the subversion system.

Also, the version of asterisk in the latest FreeBSD port is 1.0.9

Recently there have been several posts to the list regarding the latest
asterisk release, version 1.2.1, released on 12-7-05. Usually the question is
'..when will the port be updated..'

Many of the patches applied in the building of the 1.0.9 port are not
needed/wanted
when building the latest asterisk release as support for FreeBSD is
incorporated in the release code. Obviously the asterisk developers have
put considerable effort into makeing sure it compiles and runs on FBSD.

Getting and compiling the latest Asterisk Release on FreeBSD is
very simple, as simple as compiling the port -why not try it and report your
experience to the list.

regards
-kim
