[Asterisk-bsd] Hello List :) New to Asterisk not new to FreeBSD

Fresh 5.4 install w/ linix binaries.

pkg_add -r asterisk doesn't work for me either.

I've been meaning to poke around w/ * some day, so I figd I'd try now.

I'll post my success, or (more likely) failure. :P

Spoke to soon.

Installing from the port seemed to work fine. But I then would up in an
endless loop:

/usr/ports/devel/pwlib/work/pwlib/include/ptlib/contain.inl:419: warning:
right-hand operand of comma has no effect

So I tried your advice. (with a -v so I could get more info):

patrick# pkg_add -rv asterisk
looking up ftp.freebsd.org
connecting to ftp.freebsd.org:21
setting passive mode
opening data connection
initiating transfer
Error: FTP Unable to get
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5.4-release/Latest/ast
erisk.tbz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)
pkg_add: unable to fetch
'ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-5.4-release/Latest/as
terisk.tbz' by URL
pkg_add: 1 package addition(s) failed
patrick#

Not sure where to go from here???

help!
