Perhaps people could make better decisions if they were aware that nowadays $80k is the salary of any entry to medium level developer, $125K to $150 the salary for anyone with two or three people under him. Hopefully that will help some people make a decision :). And by the way, I despise the phrase "Things are tough in the market these days", since I have a memory, managers have been using that excuse to obtain cheap labor, even if the market is booming. Reminds me when I watch those television documentaries that tell about everybody making so much money and businesses booming, but invariably always in the past.
