Regarding questioning of ethics, the post certainly could have been
interpreted as such, and I attest that I drew the same inference,
although I don't recall an overt accusation. So roar with laughter at
me too. I reread it to figure out how I got that impression, and found
this...

Are they going to pretend they are the X mobile

It's a question - about whether he plans to conduct a specific
unethical practice. Perhaps the writer didn't mean to question his
ethics.

Candidly, Steve Totaro's idea raised my eyebrow, but after a moment of
reflection it seemed perfectly reasonable to do what he is doing,
particularly as his proposition unfolded. Of course, much depends on
the implementation details, but I see no reason to assume the worst.
And in fact, he is paying the freight for these calls that he didn't
even solicit. 'tsawright by me...

About speculation, I suppose that would be akin to cybersquatting on a
domain name, or maybe listing labtops for sale on ebay. A shady, if
not fraudulent practice with (distant) parallels to trademark
infringement. But I think it would require more premeditation than
what has been ascribed to this situation. It will be interesting to
see what the regulations say, if brought to light.

Please turn down the flames.

So then what were you trying to say in your previous post?
People buy from telemarketers, spammers, door to door salesmen. I
would do none of that, I am simply answering a call that "they"
initiated and could terminate at any time with no charge, it's toll
free!
Thanks,
Steve Totaro

You are saying that my question/s are implying that there are questionable
ethics on your uniquely fantastic and terrific idea? That's too funny... I
tell you, I am roaring with laughter here... there is no way that can be
interpreted as such.
