Too good to be true?  Have you never 'sniped' anything on eBay before?  Do 
you understand the framework?

The final price will be the highest bid, whatever that happens to be.  It 
could be 1¢, it could be $28, it could be more. An ethical seller (that's 
me) will not 'cancel' the auction early just so they don't have to give 
their stuff away.  That would be extremely lame.

There is NO DOUBT that the POE switches will close for more than $28 each. 
I THINK that they will close for over $80, but it is very possible that 
somebody will walk away with perfectly good mini-GBIC fiber transceivers for 
1¢ each JUST BECAUSE not enough people showed up for the auction (which is 
how it's beginning to appear).   My mistake--I overestimated the depth of 
the market for fiber transceivers.
