The biggest problem in today world with porting numbers is when the CSR
records does not match.
Example: Company ABC bough a DID's from VOIP Provider ABC. VoIP provider
ABC has an account with L3. In L3 CSR records of VoIP Provider ABC not
an end costumer, and when end costumer trying to port it out he get
stocked and have to go over a lot of paperworks...

So when you buy a DID from some type a small ITSP who is reselling it
from CLEC and does not maintain CSR records you could face a problems
when you try to leave... Another thing company broadvoice stated in they
TOS that users does not own the numbers and they just leasing them from
broadvoice, also I'v seen same problem with j2fax, you can't port the
numbers from them also. So before you buy from any one read TOS and make
sure that you not renting a numbers.
