First, this is a -users question, and is better suited to the asterisk-users
list.  Second, without knowing anything about your setup, a complete answer
is not likely to happen.

Are all of your calls originating and terminating via SIP?  If so, using
reinvite would allow the media path (audio) to be handled directly by the
endpoints, but control of the call still resides with Asterisk.

Send a message to the -users list with a bit more of an explanation of your
setup and desired goal.
