  Once again I agree completely, hence the use of the term "paranoia"
(which usually carries negative connotation).

  Not to mention there are solutions for this in the larger SIP world
(SIP Session Timers, for example).  Asterisk does support these in 1.6
thanks to the initiative from John Todd.
