Introducing the GSM Gateway – a cost reduction tool

At a time in which companies focus on cost reduction (without influencing
the integrity of the company), a GSM Gateway can play an important role. The
unit connects your PBX to the GSM network, eliminating the excessive
interconnection fees, thus cutting your telephone costs significantly.

The device is connected to the analog trunk interface of the PBX. The
Automatic Route Select Table (ARS) in the PBX defines which calls will be
automatically routed via the gateway device to the pre-defined GSM network.
In doing so, the gateway reduces the company’s telephone costs.

Other Important benefits of a GSM Gateway

As well as cost savings, other important benefits include:   Back up
telecommunications if you have problems with your land-line carrier  (very
important when running a business); secure communications - as calls are
carried by the cellular network there are no external cables that can get
broken, cut or tapped into;  easy quick and cheap installation of additional
lines - much cheaper/quicker than waiting for a new line to be installed.

Installation and Set-up

Installation of the gateway device does not require special skills. Simply
insert a chosen SIM card, connect the unit to the PBX trunk interface,
attach the antenna and power supply and you can immediately start saving

A number of additional parameters such as Audio Volume Control, Conversation
Time-Out and Restricted Digits, can all be programmed via DTMF
