It's nothing personal, Sam.  I'm just following my system logs.

And, I agree, there are plenty of other places that generate hack 
attempts and spam whose stats are far more impressive, but I can't 
really block them for business reasons.  In contrast, I have no need 
whatsoever to do any business with anyone in SE Asia and zero interest 
in marketing anything there, so it's a worthwhile trade-off.

Also, my blocking reflects *my* statistics, which may be skewed and 
highly deviant from the aggregate.  Blocking the PRC cut down my spam 
about 60% and my hacking attempts ~85%.
