It doesn't matter how much money they throw at it.  That is why big
companies usually just buy small innovative companies.  Big companies are
dysfunctional which get's in the way of innovation.  M$ would be better off
just buying (heaven forbid) Digium or something like that which of course
they wouldn't do because Digium makes Linux products.

Indeed.  We should all so be so lucky as to have an R&D budget 1/128th of 
that size.  I've got lots of stuff I'd like to throw at the wall.  I'm
