Both Philips and Kirk offer a GAP DECT base-station that plugs straight 
into the LAN and speaks SIP. I know that the Kirk one can be configured 
to allow access to third party DECT handsets, provided their flavour of 
GAP is sufficiently compatible. I think the Philips will do the same.
