In that case, you're getting better scalability than our own testing 
with vanilla Asterisk 1.2 by a factor of around 2. While I'm sure Digium 
have made performance improvements for 1.4, I'm surprised by the jump.

Would you be willing to carry out load testing and tuning of other 
software on a commercial basis? Specifically I'm thinking of Enswitch, 
which uses Asterisk and OpenSER for telephony. We've tested to 5000 
concurrent calls, but don't have the test environment to go further. If 
so, please contact me off-list and we can discuss terms.
