[asterisk-biz] Amp'd Going the Way of Sun Rocket

Well guys, I hate to tell you this, but we are running several hundred
profitable VoIP companies. profitable for us, profitable for our clients,
and the only reason they are able to sell service is that they can save
their customers money.

Vonage lost hundreds of millions by running a ton of stupid TV ads, plus
every other possible form of direct to end user advertising. They spent
$500 in advertising for every sub they signed. Bad business model
Sunrocket sold service below cost. Bad business model.

Saying that that voip is not a real product is like saying that selling
power and gas is not real because of enron.

There are always well funded, public companies burning cash as fast as they
can in every new tech area. They just make it damn difficult for real
businessmen.
