Polycom have great sound quality and I would say Aastra are very close
as well. The only problem with these two phones is their poor NAT
support. Polycom just doesnt really have it (maybe their 2.0
firmware... but good luck getting a copy of that. Aastra I don't know
whats going on with them, they have a few firmware bugs which they
have promised for a few releases would be fixed. I find this totally
acceptable because they dont use their own SIP stack, they use
Broadcom's CallCtrl. Maybe if they started to use the current version
(right now on the 480i they use CallCtrl 1.4.2 and have ZERO NAT
options).

IMO best overall phone to use right now is Grandstream or Linksys SPA
(if you can join their VAR/serviceprovider program) only problem with
both these phones is there is no way to decline an inbound call..

Never tried a SNOM but I keep on hearing good things about them.
