[asterisk-biz] Portable Vanity Toll Free Numbers

Todd,

It is funny. I was the Sr. Telcom Engineer at a very large call center.
Since they advertised in every state on TV, print, and radio, they used
different toll free numbers to track their advertising dollars. Our
phone bill was $30,000/mo, we had a full DS3 and 1,000 toll free numbers.

One day the advertising guy said we needed 300 more for new campaigns
and they had to be 800 numbers. Global Crossing had all 300 in two weeks.

So it appears they are there but reserved for the "Big Fish".

Thanks,
Steve
