Hi,

I'm happy to announce that our guest this week will be Jay Phillips
who will tell us more about Adhearsion. Haven't heard about
Adhearsion? Quoting from the article at

"Adhearsion utilizes Asterisk's FastAGI feature for managing calls
from another IP-addressable machine.  In this way, precious RAM and
CPU cycles receive virtually no impact on the Asterisk box and, just
as important, Adhearsion has already established the overhead for each
call before it comes in."

But that's only a small part of what it does. Rather than making a
extensions.conf or .ae file, you can use Adhearsion (Ruby-based) to
manage the dialplan logic. It also looks like it offers a great
solution for using the XML browsers on some phones to generate menus,
etc. I'm anxious to test this intriguing idea out myself, but what
better way to find out a lot more first than to put Jay on the hot
seat and ask him to explain it?
