As  for porting from nufone I was told that asterlink.com HAS ported nufone tollfrees in 1 day, which may go against the comments that the provider is holding em hostage.

at $1.95/did per month and $0.02/min (tollfree rates) this doesn’t seem to be that bad of a deal.  There are porting fees, but that isn’t  that uncommon.
