Now, now... be nice.  Admittedly it's a rather poor attempt at self-promotion  
but honestly what isn't Asterisk consulting with off the shelf components?  
Developing custom apps/AGIs/etc to further integrate these off the shelf 
components is still using those components.  Insane-o configuration or 
operation or modification of these components is still high-end, complex work 
but falls under using those components.  Crazy dialplan setups are still just 
"using" Asterisk.

If you're gonna blast the guy, show him where he went wrong: tell him to go 
buy Joe Vitale's stuff and learn how to promote himself properly.
