HUD stands for Head's Up Display, (it's also the military acronym for
the technology that pilots use). 
As far as realtime... It provides a realtime view of the activity on the
phone system. You can see who is on the phone, and who they are talking
to, you can also, monitor the call, barge into the call, take over the
call, or record the call.

Is HUD an acronym - if so, what does it stand for? One of the Fonality 
guys posted a comment to Om's blog stating that its their "next-gen 
real-time client interface". Is that real-time as in Asterisk Realtime 
Architecture or real-time as presence, something else?

I can't help thinking of the Paul Newman flick of the same name ;-)
