[Asterisk-biz] One Way Audio

The most common reason I've seen for one-way audio from my customers is
asymmetrical network connections. They hear incoming fine (dowload) but
the folks they are talking to have problems hearing them (upload). In
this case the problem is QoS and we solve it by putting some bandwidth
shaping devices as the firewall.

The second most common problem we've seen is the NAT-ing done by certain
firewalls. They treat each new UDP packet as a new connection. This
fills up the NAT table in the firewall. Rebooting the firewall "fixes"
this problem for awhile. The only answer here is to replace the
firewall. A nice Linksys will work fine.

Good Luck
