Aastra Telecom is pleased to announce the availability of a new software update for our
Enterprise IP portfolio of SIP telephones, including Models 480i, 9133i, 9112i, and 480i CT.

Release 1.3.1 delivers new features and enhancements including:

* Universal firmware that allows a single software load to support compatible SIP platforms from a variety of vendors including Asterisk(tm)/Digium, BroadSoft®, Nortel Networks, and Sylantro®.

* Hospitality features suite that allows phones to be deployed in guest facilities and public areas while protecting the privacy of the phone users by disabling certain features and hard keys from the phone.

* Enhanced support for application developers with new Extensible Markup Language (XML) objects including customizable softkeys for the 480i and 480i CT.

* Enhanced multi-line support to allow the customization of ring tones and the configuration of a SIP outbound proxy on a per line basis to distinguish calls for different lines.

* Busy Lamp Field (BLF) enhancements for the BroadSoft® and Asterisk(tm) platforms to support both status monitoring and dialing to the monitored line.

* Enhanced integration to Sylantro® SIP platform through the addition of Bridged Line Appearance (BLA) feature support. BLA allows multiple devices to share a single directory number.

* Context-sensitive softkey configuration that will allow users to customize what is displayed when the same softkey is used while the phone is in various states such as idle, connected, ringing or dialing.

* Telephony feature enhancements for the 480i and 480i CT such as intercom with auto-answer, call park and call pickup.

* Localization support for German and Italian prompts on the 480i, 9133i, and 9112i.
