Yeah, I added mine for sending messages to.  Too much spam and I can
block someone.

I've created a couple of patches to allow the manager to integrate with
Jabber so that you can send and receive messages via another application:

Send A message via the manager:

I'll put up a link soon to some simple software I have written for
creating a bot that integrates with Asterisk.  I.E. I can now call my
server and it will give me IAX2 Peer Stats, and I can send messages to
my server and it will reply with quotes, news, stats etc.

You could also use it to send manager commands to Asterisk.
