[asterisk-biz] Changes of rules on 08x revenue share numbering in the UK

Dear All,

The information below is not directly VoIP related, but will affect anyone
in doing business in the UK using 08xx series numbers.

Key points are that:

0870 to be charged at no more than a geographic number (unless a free to
caller annoucement is made) with corresponding removal from NTS
determination means that interconnect revenue probably to be less than
geographic numbers. This will effectively make 0870 numbers completely
unviable to operate. To start around Jan 2008.

No changes to 0845/0844. To be re-examined in two years.

0871 to be covered by some ICSTIS rules regarding pricing. From Jan 2008.

No 'adult' services on 08x numbers. By end of year 2006.

Changes to the regulations making it required to publish NTS prices clearly
alongside the prices for normal numbers. By June 2006.
