It would in this situation... se the bright side: you don't have to do 
phone cabling. Since you probably want an ethernet socket in each room 
anyway, it can actually save money to consolidate LAN + Phone onto one 
CAT5 network.

(Preferably CAT5e so you can go gigabit ethernet...)
