As stated in the original email to get CLEC status it would take upto a
year depending on state.  To use verisign for SS7 wont get me what I
want, I will still have to have my own media gateways (and I have been
talking with verisign).  I have been approaching lecs but there are many
many many many in this nation, and I figured that if there was a
business that dealt with asterisk based voip on some level they may be
reading this list. 

Why my question was addressed to the businesses that did this type of
thing as opposed to the individuals that work for companies that arent
even close to this.  I did get a few responses offlist which were
helpful, some were close to what I was looking for.
