[Asterisk-biz] Starting a Phone Service in USA

I have been watching this list for a while and it is interesting to me
the many different people and businesses that comment here.

My thoughts on the FCC stuff:
Phone service is a vital part of the end users' lives,
When our phone service is disrupted our lives are disrupted.
The FCC and other PUC type registrations and filings help and protect
consumers from fly by night type operations.
I agree that some of the filings seem less necessary than others but
without ANY requirements Company A could simply give the middle finger
to the Government.
Then Company A could say "I don't like my customers", give THEM the
middle finger and leave them high and dry.
Heck if you give one the middle finger why not the other if it serves
your purpose right?

The process is supposed to make sure the providers have accountability.
I would not use a provider that did not have any accountability because
they could give me the middle finger and leave ME hanging.
