Well, if they are as good as the 103 model was in 2003 you will look for
another phone soon enough. When I worked with these phones late 2003 the
103's firmware had some serious bugs which act-tel didn't fix at the
time. Secondly, their 103 platform at the time was underpowered such
that it couldn't handle a 100Mbit/s LAN connection on each of its LAN
ports (1 to the PC, 1 to the wall socket). It would suddenly hang dead
in the water in the middle of a call. And this was with ulaw or alaw.
Not even pushing it. Perhaps they have learned from their design &
firmware issues since then and fixed everything in the 104 and 160
model. But still, do some serious testing before you deploy this model
(or any other phone) to your customers.
